| Ask the Contractor Teleconference (ACT) Call |
|
The Upstate Medicare Division (UMD) is pleased to host a series of free Ask the Contractor Teleconference (ACT) call opportunities. Similar to the Open Door Forum sessions hosted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), ACTs will serve to identify problems in a timely way, provide methods of sharing information, and provide an excellent tool for listening to our customers.
The format for ACTs will include timely Medicare updates, followed by open discussion. You will have the opportunity to speak with UMD staff from various departments, including Medical Review, Claims, Appeals, General Correspondence, the Caller Information Network, and Provider Outreach and Education (POE). CMS New York Regional Office staff will occassionally participate in ACTs.
Although there is no cost for participation in ACTs, we will ask for pre-registration prior to the call. Upon receipt of your registration, you will be sent a confirmation. Teleconference dial-in information will be provided by email one to two weeks prior to the teleconference date.
To view presentations/minutes from previous ACTs, please visit the "Ask the Contractor Teleconferences" page within the "Education" section of our Web site.
