Note: Some non-Medicare corporations are promoting seminars called "Medicare" seminars, although they are not sponsored by Medicare. These corporations may advise providers that they must attend the seminar "to be in compliance with Medicare." Please be advised that Medicare is not associated with these seminars, and does not require attendance to meet compliance criteria. The Upstate Medicare Division's seminars are announced in our bulletins and on this Web site.
If you utilize information received at seminars, conferences, or workshops conducted by non-Medicare corporations and then are found to be non-compliant with Medicare law, regulations, and guidelines, you will be held liable for any incorrect information you submit to the Medicare program.
