CMS as a Source of Information (GEN)
Posted May 10, 2007

We encourage you to check the Internet Only Manuals provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Coverage provisions are provided in these interpretive manuals. The Web site address is www.cms.hhs.gov/manuals/IOM/list.asp. Here you will find the varied manuals which present the general information, benefits, coverage determinations, claims processing, etc., which are appropriately available to providers and suppliers in order to do business correctly with Medicare. You are encouraged to access these manuals and search for information pertinent to your practice and for the questions which arise in the course of doing business with Medicare.

As you explore the CMS Web site, I hope that you will find it more than just a task, but rather that you will enjoy the many informational discoveries which you will make.
